Just a block away from our hostel is the Mercado Central, the most important and most prestigious gastronomical point, renowned for its seafood. Otherwise, if you would like to try national sandwiches and drinks, we recommend going to Barrio Bellavista and visit Bar Galindo, a characteristic and representative place of the Chilean culture, where you may try several drinks.
We also suggest visiting a unique place: La Vega Central, a large market of fruits and vegetables that is home to many popular and typical characters, and where you will find products of the best quality that you can later cook in our kitchen.
For those looking for crafts, and to take with themselves a typical souvenir from our country, we recommend visiting the Feria Artesanal Santa Lucía, located on the main avenue of Santiago and only 7 blocks away from Casaltura. The feria is one of the most important in town and offers many garments, all hand-made, from all regions of Chile
